Household Cleaning Supplies That Kill Coronavirus

Are you looking for ways to disinfect your home so that you kill any coronavirus particles that may be present? Fortunately, there are a variety of accessible, inexpensive cleaning products on the market that can be used to keep your home as safe from COVID-19 as possible. Here are a few household products that you can use to clean your home and protect yourself and your family from COVID-19.

What You Can Use

  • Soap is incredibly effective at removing and deactivating viruses. Any regular liquid or bar soap can be used to clean your hands and body to remove any virus particles that have attached themselves to you during the day.
  • Clorox and Lysol products have both been proven to kill COVID-19. Wipes, sprays, and aerosols from these brands can all work well to sanitize and disinfect different surfaces.
  • Cleaning solutions that contain at least 70% isopropyl alcohol can kill coronaviruses. If you spray your cell phone or countertop with an isopropyl alcohol solution, make sure you allow it to sit for at least 30 seconds before wiping it away.

What You Should Not Do

You should never mix cleaning supplies together unless the directions on the package tell you to. Some cleaning supplies contain chemicals that can create toxic gases if they are mixed together. You should also avoid spraying your skin with Clorox or Lysol sprays, as they are not meant to be used on the skin.
