What is the process for receiving veneers?

During your veneers consultation, we will review your smile goals and determine what your dream smile looks like. The next step in the process involves prepping the teeth for veneers and taking dental impressions so that your veneers can be custom made to fit your smile. We will place temporary veneers to protect your teeth in the meantime. The final appointment involves removing the temporary veneers, placing your custom, permanent veneers, and making any final modifications to ensure that they look amazing.

Are veneers permanent?

For traditional porcelain veneers to look natural and fit comfortably over the teeth, a small amount of tooth enamel needs to be removed from each tooth that is receiving a veneer. Enamel is the hard outer layer of a tooth that protects it from harmful bacteria. When enamel is removed for veneers, it doesn’t grow back, so a dental restoration of some kind must always protect the tooth from that point forward. At Ballston Dental Care, we work one-on-one with each patient to ensure that their veneers fit their exact specifications, so they will never want their veneers removed!

Are veneers expensive?

Veneers are more of a financial investment than other cosmetic dental services like teeth whitening and dental bonding, but they are also incredibly long-lasting and can provide patients with the complete smile makeover that they are looking for. While veneers are not typically covered by insurance, our office accepts payment plans through CareCredit®, which can be perfect for breaking up the cost of dental services like veneers.
